ST185 BODY SHOP

This is the car at the body shop. Nick Rose of Mindenmines Missouri is a personal friend of mine and is doing all of my body work. This man does wonders for import cars. Like some bodyshop places the repair has to be hurried to get the car in and out. Nick has taken his time to fix all the little imperfections from previous bodyshops.

Here is the car without a quarter pannel, you can see some of the inner quarter well has been replaced already. The rear section had some of the most horrible welding on it as you can see.

Here is a side view of a car without the drivers side quarter pannel. The upper seam where the quarter pannel meets the inner structure there was gaps as large as 1 inch between the two. This was causing the hatch leak into the car.

Here is the replacement quarter pannel. All parts are genuine Toyota OEM parts. The quarter pannel will not be totally welded on, I will be using a 3M epoxy that will seal the inside from dust and water while have superior strength over welding it fully on. The back of the car and where the old pannel needs matched to the new quarter are the only places that need to be welded on.

This below is the car at the frame shop. The car was bent over 5 inches as I put it like this "/ /". The car is now completely square thanks to the local alignment shop.

This is the best part of the wreck hitting this rear quarter. It needed it! The previous unknown history of this car, that is the third time it has been hit there. The people before were cutting quarters and corners too. Result of this leaking water and dirt into the car. You couldn't tell the piss poor work the previous body shop did with the interior and rear bumper installed. This wont happen this time.
